E911 description

CA-VISION.E911 is a PC-based solution which allows an organization to interface with the public E911 network. CA-VISION.E911 translates the calling party identification information to ANI (Automatic Number Identification), providing detailed location information or ALI (Automatic Location Identification) about the 911 caller to the PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point).

When 911 is dialed from a PBX station line, CA-VISION.E911 translates the station ID into an associated DID number that allows PSAP callbacks and directs emergency response personel to the exact caller location.

Provides emergency personnel with detailed information when a 911 call originates from a business, campus, hotel, or building phone.

With the threat of escalating terrorist activities as well as the increasing occurrences of workplace and school violence, public officials and business leaders are reviewing their organization’s ability to ensure the security of business operations, communications and people. There is a renewed emphasis on emergency preparedness, crisis prevention and immediate response.

Today’s workplace facilities are becoming ever larger and more complex. As a result, emergency services personnel are now facing a growing challenge in pinpointing crisis locations within the building or campus environment. In response, an increasing number of legislatures are mandating compliance to a set of guidelines.

Enhanced 911, or E-911, is a mechanism created to provide 911 operators with the caller’s telephone number and address to inprove emergency responsiveness.

In large facilities such as campuses and high-rise buildings, a single address might not be sufficient to locate a 911 caller.

Alerting security personnel on-site of a 911 call in progress.

Updating the public ALI (automatic location identification) database.

 Mitigating corporate liability.
